Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you use our website and enrol in an Al Rusūkh Institute program.
Last updated: 19 October 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Al Rusūkh Institute website and student portal, and to any program you enrol in with us. By enrolling or using the site, you agree to these terms, together with our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “Al Rusūkh” refer to Al Rusūkh Institute, and “you” refers to the student or the parent or guardian enrolling on a student’s behalf.
Al Rusūkh Institute is an online institute offering live, structured Arabic study. Arabic Foundations (based on Lisān al-Qurʾān) includes two live classes per week, four hours in total. Applied Arabic (based on Al-ʿArabiyyah Bayna Yadayk) includes one live class per week, two hours in total. The Complete Arabic Pathway combines both programs for six hours of live instruction each week.
Level 1 of each track is currently open for enrolment. Further levels are introduced as cohorts progress, and program content, schedules and teachers may be adjusted from time to time to maintain the quality of teaching.
To enrol, choose your program and complete the enrolment and payment process. Your first payment secures your place, and your studies begin on the next intake date for your program. Once your enrolment is confirmed, we will send your class times and your student portal login details.
Students under 18 must be enrolled by a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on the student’s behalf. If you already have some Arabic background, please contact us before enrolling so we can help place you at the right level.
Fees are charged monthly in Australian dollars, on the same date each month as your original enrolment. The monthly fee covers live teaching, digital program materials, homework marking, feedback, class recordings and student portal access — there is no enrolment fee and no charge for materials. Current fees are listed on our Fees page.
We accept debit and credit cards, processed securely by our payment provider Stripe, and bank transfer. If you pay from outside Australia, your bank may apply its own currency conversion or fees. Your fee stays the same while your enrolment is continuous; if fees change for new students, we will give existing students notice well in advance.
Enrolment is month to month with no minimum term. You may cancel or pause by letting us know before your next billing date. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
Classes are taught live online through Zoom. You are responsible for having a stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone. Please join on time and come prepared; homework is set after each class and marked by your teacher.
Every class is recorded and made available to students of that class in the student portal. By attending, you agree that your participation, including your voice and video if your camera is on, may appear in these recordings. Occasionally a class may need to be rescheduled; we will give as much notice as we can.
We expect every student to treat teachers and classmates with courtesy and respect. Class links, recordings and portal logins are for your personal use only and must not be shared. We may suspend or end the enrolment of a student whose conduct seriously disrupts classes or breaches these terms, after first raising the issue with them where reasonable.
All lessons, recordings, worksheets, quizzes and other materials provided by Al Rusūkh remain our property or that of their original publishers, and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial study while you are enrolled. You may not copy, record, resell, publish or distribute them without our written permission.
You are responsible for keeping your student portal login secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know straight away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
We will deliver our programs with due care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for disruption caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as internet or platform outages. Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page, and we will notify enrolled students of any significant change before it takes effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and Al Rusūkh submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
