Last updated: 19 October 2026

Our commitment

Al Rusūkh Institute respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, student portal and live classes, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Information we collect

Enquiries. When you contact us, we collect your name, email address and the details of your message.

Enrolment and your account. When you enrol, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, the program you choose and your student portal login.

Payments. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of each payment, but we do not see or store your full card details.

Learning records. We keep records of your attendance, homework, quiz and assessment results, teacher feedback and progress through each level.

Class recordings. Live classes are recorded, so recordings may include your name, voice and image if your camera is on.

Newsletter. If you subscribe to updates, we collect your email address.

Website data. Like most websites, our site and its security services automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, and use cookies to keep you signed in to the student portal.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your enquiries; to enrol you and manage your place in class; to deliver live classes, recordings and the student portal; to mark homework and track your progress; to process monthly payments and send receipts; to contact you about your classes, schedule changes and your account; to send updates you have subscribed to; and to keep our website secure and working well.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we only send marketing updates if you have chosen to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We share information only with trusted service providers who help us run the institute, and only as needed for that purpose: Stripe for payment processing, Zoom for live classes, and our website hosting, security and email service providers. Your recordings, homework and progress are visible to you and your teachers. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect your information to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your session and protect the site from misuse. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may prevent the student portal from working properly.

How we protect and keep your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including secure connections, password-protected accounts and limited staff access. We keep your information only for as long as it is needed to provide our services, meet our legal and accounting obligations and resolve any disputes, and then delete or de-identify it.

Students under 18

Where a student is under 18, we ask that a parent or guardian enrols on their behalf and provides consent for their information to be collected and used as described in this policy.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time by emailing alrusukh@gmail.com. Many details can also be updated directly in your student portal.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us at alrusukh@gmail.com or on +61 414 941 292 and we will respond as soon as possible. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
